The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a special weather statement for the following area(s).
Give the particulars (accurately and specifically)
IE: The National Weather in Mobile has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the following location: Santa Rosa County until 8 PM.
Then give what type of reports that you are looking for:
( 1 ) Funnel clouds, tornado or rotating wall clouds
( 2 ) Hail ½ inch or larger
( 3 ) Damaging winds in excess of 40 mph
( 4 ) Excessive rainfall ( usually greater than 2 inch per hour )
It is imperative that the spotters keep their own safety their number ONE concern.
Ask for check ins. Be sure to get their Call Sign, Name and QTH.
Request that those who have check in, let Net Control know when they need to secure or change location.
Ask for any severe weather reports from whatever area is concerned. Let all know that you need the time of the event, what the event is, where the event is taking place and the duration, Ask the reporting stations to keep their reports as brief as possible and that ( Blue Sky Reports ) are not needed.
Call any severe events into the National Weather Service using the unlisted 800 number.
Remember to repeat the purpose of the net periodically. Use the repeater ID as a guide as to the time when you need to repeat the special weather statement.
Secure the Emerald Coast Skywarn Net when the event has been secured by the National Weather Service.

The purpose of the Emerald Coast Weather Net is to get us all accustom in gathering current weather data and relaying this data to net control for recording. In the case of an actual weather event or emergency, The Emerald Coast Skywarn Net will be activated for the purpose of gathering and relaying actual weather information to the National Weather Service or other appropriate agency.
You do not need to have sophisticated weather equipment to participate in the net. In fact when an actual weather event does occur, your eyes and ears will be the most important equipment needed.
